SMS Maschinenbau, established in 1995, is one of the leading companies producing high-precision, CNC-controlled thread grinding machines for grinding external and internal threads. The product spectrum of SMS ranges from highly flexible all-purpose thread grinding machines all the way to fully automated special-purpose thread grinding machines for use in mass production. Each machine comprises a state-of-the-art CNC-control along with a work-piece-specific user-interface by SMS (HMI). Remote diagnostic capabilities via internet are standard on all machines. In addition to the core business of thread grinding machines, the product range includes relief measurement machines, profiling machines as well as relieving lathes. Thread grinding with maximum precision, in keeping with today’s requirements, is guaranteed by the use of SMS machines marked by flexibility and productivity. Up to now, more than 550 machines were built and shipped to customers world-wide.
